  When we first moved to Atlanta six years ago to attend graduate school, we visited several churches before deciding to join Clairmont Hills. Since we did not know anybody in the city, we liked that it was a multigenerational church. CHBC has proven to be a huge blessing, as we’ve made some great friends, received a lot of good life and career advice, and now that we have a daughter, have no shortage of people to help us out and spoil her. Pastor Fred Pitts’ sermons are Bible-based, insightful, and balanced. The church is very friendly and welcoming, and there are a lot of activities for kids and adults of all ages. They also provide child-care on Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, and during certain special events, which is convenient.

  This church body has played an instrumental role in my spiritual growth and walk with Christ. The congregation is very welcoming and caring to one another and to visitors, and Pastor Fred and his family set a great example of this warm, genuine atmosphere as well. The sermons and Life Group studies are always well-prepared and provide a strong balance between Biblical lessons and modern-day application. There are plenty of avenues for people of all ages and interests to get involved, from youth activities to women's and men's Bible studies, missions events and community outreach, etc.

  My visit at Clairmont Hills was quite different than my experience at Scott Boulevard Baptist Church the pastor Greg Smith wants to tear down Scott Boulevard Baptist Church to make a shopping center, or hooters, or liquor store. SHAME, SHAME SHAME
